Pinot Noir

Parducci makes two different Pinot Noirs. Our Mendocino Pinot Noir is produced primarily from grapes grown in Anderson Valley, the acclaimed, cool-climate region near the Mendocino coast renowned for its fragrant, supple Pinots. The Mendocino bottling exhibits a distinctly varietal aroma of strawberry and raspberry fruit with hints of mint, spice, wild herbs, and tea-leaf. On the palate, the wine is soft, full and rich with ripe, spicy, berry fruit flavors, smooth tannins, and a long, fruit-filled finish. It's an excellent accompaniment to mesquite-grilled salmon, baked ham, roast duck and herb-marinated lamb chops, as well as lighter pasta dishes.

Our Oregon Pinot Noir is produced from vineyards in the famed Willamette Valley. Oregon is renowned for its Pinot Noirs, which thrive in the Willamette Valley's cool climate. Our grapes there enjoy extended "hang time" on the vine during the growing season, which concentrates flavors while retaining acidity. They also benefit from hillside elevations, well-drained loamy soils, and the complexity derived from high-quality French Dijon clones. Our Oregon Pinot boasts enticing aromas of ripe red cherry, strawberry, and raspberry fruit, enhanced by an intriguing sandalwood tone. These scents are echoed on the palate, which features fresh cherry and berry flavors, with a touch of tea-like spiciness. The wine is an excellent accompaniment to simply prepared chicken, ham, lamb and duck entrees, as well as to grilled salmon and lighter pasta dishes.
