Sauvignon Blanc

Our acclaimed Sauvignon Blanc is produced from a winery-owned vineyard in Lake County, just east of Mendocino. Because the vineyard is between 1,000 and 1,200 feet in elevation, it’s cold in winter and early spring, which delays bud-break until mid-April. As a result, the grapes mature later in the season, ensuring full flavor development. Our Sauvignon Blanc displays bright citrus and melon aromas and flavors with the zingy herbaceous tone and crisp character Sauvignon Blanc lovers find so appealing. We enhance this fresh, crisp character by harvesting the fruit cool in early morning, crushing it directly to the press with little skin contact time, and fermenting and aging the wine entirely in stainless steel tanks. Our Sauvignon Blanc is delightful to sip on its own, but also makes a wonderful accompaniment to lighter entrees, especially shellfish.
