Zinfandel

Zinfandel, 'America’s heritage grape,' is a true national treasure. Mendocino County is blessed with many older Zinfandel vineyards planted on ideal benchland and foothill sites. At Parducci, we have a special production facility inside our winery to handle the fruit from these small-volume old vineyards. This gives us unprecedented control over each site, especially important given that we source zinfandel grapes from two-dozen vineyards. Our Mendocino Zinfandel, representing a blend of these vineyards, is a zesty, full-bodied red wine with lively aromas and flavors of ripe blackberries and raspberries, black pepper, cinnamon and vanilla (from aging in American oak barrels). Zinfandel’s hearty, spicy flavors allow it to beautifully accompany a broad range of foods, everything from grilled chicken, sausages and lamb to barbecued ribs and hearty red sauce pastas.
