We harvested the last of the 2014 vintage from the Parducci Estate last week, and it’s in the spirit of the season that we chose the two robust reds featured in our second Parducci Cellar Reserve Club shipment.
The 2012 Parducci Reserve Cabernet Franc is a 100% estate wine, sourced from Parducci's Upper Home Ranch.Bright with warm spice, mineral and red fruit flavors, this classically understated red is framed by soft tannins and balanced acids. Aged in 100% neutral barrels for 16 months, this is perfect choice for the menus of holiday entertaining. Only 13 barrels were produced.

We turned to the 2006 Parducci Coro Mendocino to match the complex and introspective moods of our cooling autumn nights. This aromatic, vanilla-wrapped and velvety wine tasting of blackberry, fennel sprig, and bright juniper was created under the aegis of Coro Mendocino, America's first juried regional wine project. Inspired by the Latin word for ‘chorus,’ Coro wines are a blend of 100% heritage Mendocino varietals with Zinfandel as the majority of the blend, and Parducci is proud to have been a part of the winery consortium since the very first vintage in 2000.
In addition to 20-30% OFF all of our premium wine selections, Parducci Cellar Reserve Club membership comes with many VIP benefits including exclusive access to the Parducci wine libraryincluding Cellar Reserve Club favorites like the 1985 Parducci Petite Sirah, produced by the late, great John Parducci himself.

We are especially pleased to send the inaugural shipment to the founding members of the new Parducci Cellar Reserve Club. This first selection is the essence and embodiment of the Parducci Cellar Reserve Club experience—giving you access to our latest fine wine releases as well as rarities from our extensive library.
Parducci Cellar Reserve Club Members are one of the lucky firsts to taste the 2012 Parducci Reserve Chardonnay, an aromatically driven wine characterized by scents of Granny Smith apple, Bosc pear, and toffee. A barrel-fermented portion lends a pleasing creaminess and weight to the palate, which serves as a nice transition from the citrus-like acid profile. Lingering pie spices on the finish serve as the unifying element, bringing together the barrel-derived components with those derived from stainless steel.
Outside of our library the 2007 Parducci Signature Syrah is now nearly impossible to find. This 100% Mendocino County wine–grown primarily on the Parducci estate–was aged 38 months in a combination of new American and seasoned American and French oak barrels. A seductive wine, our Syrah continues to impress with its rich violet hue and lush cherry flavors, supported with a balance of firm tannins and a velvety mouth feel.
In addition to our premium wine selections, Parducci Cellar Reserve Club membership comes with many VIP benefits including 20% OFF everyday savings. We invite current members to set up a member account using the link provided in your current shipment. WINEMAKER BOB SWAIN SPEAKS FROM THE CELLAR about what's new for winter 2013 at Parducci.
Q: What are you and the winemaking team up to this time of year?
A: We are blending the 2012 whites, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay as well as prepping the 2012 Pinot Noirs. We have either bottled or are about to bottle many of the 2012 whites, and it is proving to be a fantastic vintage in terms of quality and volume.
Q: What are some of the early characteristics of the 2012 vintage?
A: The whites have great aromatics and balance, while the reds are some of the darkest wines we have had in years.
Q: What new releases are you especially looking forward to sharing this spring?
A: We also just blended the 2010 Small Lot Blend Petite Sirah, and it is a big boy! Boatloads of pepper spice and jammy texture; it will be one to look for.
